myDinnerPlan for Alexa — Ask What’s for Dinner Skip to main content

Works with Alexa

Ask Alexa
what’s for dinner.

Enable the free myDinnerPlan skill, link your account once, then hear tonight’s meal and cooking steps without picking up your phone.

  • Free skill
  • Works on Starter
  • Read-only — won’t change your plan

Set it up in three steps

Same flow as other Alexa skills: enable, link, then talk

1

Enable the skill

Open the skill on Amazon and tap Enable — or search “myDinnerPlan” in the Alexa app under Skills & Games.

2

Link your account

Alexa will ask you to sign in to myDinnerPlan. Approve access so she can read tonight’s meal and recipe steps. You can disconnect anytime in Account Settings.

3

Ask away

Plan dinners on the website (or use the public recipe library), then ask Alexa what’s cooking — or say “start cooking” for hands-free steps.

Things you can say

Use the invocation name my dinner plan. These match the phrases on the Amazon skill page:

  • “Alexa, ask my dinner plan what's for dinner tonight”
  • “Alexa, ask my dinner plan to start cooking”
  • “Alexa, ask my dinner plan for help”

After “start cooking,” say next step, previous step, or repeat. Alexa only reads your plan — she won’t change meals, recipes, or billing.
